Sue Schaeffer

Sue Schaeffer is a founding member of Quorum Private Wealth; she left Merrill Lynch after 10 years to launch QPW in April 2021. Prior to Merrill, Sue practiced as a CPA, working her way up the ranks at Ernst and Young's Financial Services Office over her 10-year tenure, simultaneously earning her Master’s in Business from Columbia University.

Currently based in Danville, Sue started her career in NYC, and prior to that, attended Boston College.

At Quorum, Sue works with a wide array of clients, but particularly enjoys helping women better understand their finances and gain more control over their financial futures.

Outside of her work at Quorum, Sue is active on the board of Financial Women of San Francisco, serving as the organization’s president in 2024.

She was named a Best-In-State Top Women Wealth Advisor for Northern California by Forbes | SHOOK Research for 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026. She was named to the Forbes | SHOOK Research Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list in 2023. Beyond her recognition from Forbes and SHOOK Research, Sue was named a to AdvisorHub's list of 200 Women Advisors to Watch for 2026. She received a Pathfinder award, spotlighting outstanding achievements in 2024 from Wealth Solutions Report.

Sue is also a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor.
